TRAILER
SYNOPSIS
Alfred Engerer is a Toronto native and legendary glass-blower who lives in a slow, nostalgia-filled world.
Beginning in the late 1970s, Alfred started blowing neon tubes and creating guerrilla art installations under the group Skunkworks Outlaw Neon. The group had a falling out in the '90s, after which Alfred created a collective glass studio -- Geisterblitz Glass -- which allowed him to host 350 glass blowing parties. After nearly 25 years of running the space, Alfred lost not only his studio, but his home, due to the building of yet another condo.

“Working on this film meant a lot to me, because I am from the city. I had been looking for my place within the culture of art in Toronto and having the ability to enhance the audience into Alfred’s story gave me that place. The goal is to respect the artists that came before me, and pave the way for the artists to come afterwards.”
